The import of rice was banned
On Monday, Shahpour Alaei stated in the meeting to review the problems of Babol farmers in the governorate of this city: the ban on importing rice to the country will be stable and by maintaining the country's per capita consumption, the ban will not be lifted until the interests of farmers and consumers are met.
He said: Last year, the price of rice suddenly increased to 140,000 tomans per kilo, and on the other hand, the war between Russia and Ukraine caused Iran to import rice.
This responsible official continued: There are several solutions to solve the problem of rice farmers in the northern provinces, the shortest solution is to buy rice from farmers, which is on the agenda.
The Deputy Minister of Agricultural Jihad stated: In order to regulate the rice market, the economic organizations affiliated to the Agricultural Jihad will start buying rice in rice mills in the three northern provinces.
He added: "At present, if the representatives help us to allocate the approved credits from the Subsidy of Note 14 earlier, we will start buying rice."
Alaei stated: We will allocate 500 billion tomans of credit to start the work, so that the purchase of rice in the northern provinces of the country will begin.
The Deputy Director of Jihad Agriculture said: Currently, rice is being purchased from farmers in Mazandaran between the price of 60 and 70 thousand tomans, but the farmers want to increase this price.
